Who Are Your EdTech Specialists?

You write lesson plans, attend faculty meetings, grade papers, wipe tears (sometimes your own), create positive nurturing environments, call parents, analyze data...

The list of things you do as an educator could almost certainly go on for a few pages.  What we are trying to acknowledge here is that you work hard and are likely feeling overwhelmed.  Technologies are developed with the intent to solve problems and improve lives.  Whether it is new hardware, new apps, or new programs, it is easy to feel even more overwhelmed.  Technology should not be another burden for you.

Why are we here?

To put it simply, we are here to help.  We will be in all of the buildings looking to see how various technologies are being (or not being) used.  Sometimes technologies sound great and make wonderful promises and for a number of reasons they may not live up to them.  We want to help make sure the technology in your classroom is as helpful as it can be.  We are not here to evaluate or "catch" anyone.  We are simply here to work with you and want you to feel comfortable if you need to reach out to us for assistance.  Our goal is to help you to make the most of our Google tools and various other apps, resources, and devices to enhance your daily instruction.

How can you reach us?

We want to be as accessible to you as possible.  We put together a system that will allow you to submit a "ticket" much like our Trouble Trakker software.  Follow these steps to submit your request:
  1. Go to the Long Branch Home Page
  2. Click on Departments
  3. Click on Educational Technology
  4. Click on "Submit a Ticket"
Once we have your ticket, we will be in touch to schedule a time that works for you.  If your issue would be better resolved by the technology department, we will assist you in reaching out them as well.  We look forward to working with you and supporting your efforts to integrate technology to improve the learning in your classroom.

Sincerely,

Lois  & Neil
